Article Abstract

We demonstrate super-resolution imaging with background fluorescence rejection by interferometric temporal focusing microscopy, in which temporal focusing is combined with structured illumination. The lateral resolution and the optical sectioning capability are simultaneously improved by factors of 1.6 and 1.4, respectively, compared to conventional temporal focusing microscopy. Fluorescent beads (200 nm diameter) that are difficult to distinguish from the background fluorescence in conventional temporal focusing microscopy, are clearly visualized by interferometric temporal focusing microscopy.

BackgroundThe production of verbal tenses is impaired in people with Alzheimer's disease (AD), as shown by several studies focusing on time reference and using sentence completion tasks. However, there is currently a limited understanding of how tense is produced in discourse with this disease. Discourse is interesting as it involves building a mental representation of the event to be narrated with its temporal framework and translating this framework into language using tense.

Postdiction is a perceptual phenomenon where the perception of an earlier stimulus is influenced by a later one. This effect is commonly studied using the 'rabbit illusion', in which temporally regular, but spatially irregular, stimuli are perceived as equidistant. While previous research has focused on short inter-stimulus intervals (100-200 ms), the role of longer intervals, which may engage late attentional processes, remains unexplored.

Introduction: Facial aging is a multifactorial process characterized by skin laxity, volume loss, and collagen degradation. Calcium Hydroxyapatite (CaHA) is a versatile biostimulatory filler that can provide both structural support and collagen stimulation. This study evaluates a novel technique using CaHA with tailored dilutions for minimally invasive facial rejuvenation, focusing on key ligamentous structures.

Unveiling the Hierarchical Network of Sleep Quality Determinants: Linking Behavioral, Environmental, and Psychosocial Pathways.

Department of Internal Medicine, Shaoxing Second Hospital, Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province, People's Republic of China.

Background: Sleep quality has emerged as a critical public health concern, yet our understanding of how multiple determinants interact to influence sleep outcomes remains limited. This study employed partial correlation network analysis to examine the hierarchical structure of sleep quality determinants among Chinese adults.

Methods: We investigated the interrelationships among nine key factors: daily activity rhythm, social interaction frequency, work-life balance, light exposure, physical activity level, time control perception, shift work, weekend catch-up sleep, and sleep quality using the extended Bayesian Information Criterion (EBIC) glasso model.

This study investigates airborne concentrations of six insecticides widely used on crops grown in agricultural, semi-urban, and rural areas of Bursa Province, Türkiye. Sorbent-impregnated passive air samplers (SIP-PASs), consisting of polyurethane foam (PUF) disks impregnated with XAD-2 resin, were deployed at ten strategically selected sites representing diverse agricultural and demographic profiles within the province. Analytes were quantified using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) for depuration compounds and liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) for target insecticides.
