Article Abstract

MetaRanker 2.0 is a web server for prioritization of common and rare frequency genetic variation data. Based on heterogeneous data sets including genetic association data, protein-protein interactions, large-scale text-mining data, copy number variation data and gene expression experiments, MetaRanker 2.0 prioritizes the protein-coding part of the human genome to shortlist candidate genes for targeted follow-up studies. MetaRanker 2.0 is made freely available at www.cbs.dtu.dk/services/MetaRanker-2.0.

Background: Organizational virtuousness and just culture, which both foster justice, honesty, and trust, have a major impact on positive work environments in the healthcare industry. Strengthening nurses' emotional engagement and vocational commitment requires these components. With an emphasis on the mediating function of just culture, this study attempts to investigate the relationship between organizational virtuousness and nurses' vocational commitment.

Emotional crying is a complex and multifaceted expression that is frequently observed in humans. Its communicative effects have been recently studied in more detail. However, many studies focus on just one specific feature of emotional crying, most often emotional tears, neglecting the complex nature of the expression.

Pharmacological modulation of glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) through dual GIP/GLP-1 receptor agonists, commonly used for diabetes and obesity, shows promise in reducing alcohol consumption. We applied drug-target Mendelian randomization (MR) using genetic variation at these loci to assess their long-term effects on problematic alcohol use (PAU), binge drinking, alcohol misuse classifications, liver health, and other substance use behaviors. Genetic proxies for lowered BMI, modeling the appetite-suppressing and weight-reducing effects of variants in both the GIPR and GLP1R loci ("GIPR/GLP1R"), were linked with reduced binge drinking in the primary (β = -0.

Background: Orthokeratology (OK) lenses have become a prevalent intervention for myopia control. However, lens decentration, a frequent complication, may influence the efficacy of myopia control. The aim of this study was to systematically assess the impact of OK lens decentration on axial length growth (ALG) in Chinese myopic children through a meta-analysis.
