Purpose: To evaluate the impact of MRP inhibition by MK571 on prostate hypercontractility in diet-induced obesity, based on the hypothesis that this intervention enhances intracellular cAMP and cGMP signaling.
Methods: Adult C57BL/6 mice were divided into three groups: (i) lean, (ii) obese, and (iii) obese + MK571 (5 mg/kg/day, 14 days). The prostate was isolated for immunohistochemistry, biochemistry and functional assays.

We report a case of zosteriform PCMZL presenting in a T3-T4 dermatomal distribution not previously described in the literature. Although the varicella zoster virus was not detected in this case, late diagnosis of the acute eruption of zoster or even preceding zoster 'sine herpete' cannot be excluded as antigenic triggers.

Mycobacteria ( family) comprise five genera (, , , , and ), which include relevant animal and human pathogens. Histology is a rapid method for preemptively diagnosing mycobacteriosis, contributing to surveillance, control, and eradication. A constraint on histology is the limited sensitivity and specificity of acid-fast stains, as the number of detectable bacilli in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue varies and other microorganisms are acid-fast positive.

To explore the clinicopathological and molecular genetic characteristics of anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK)-rearranged renal cell carcinoma (RCC), including a rare case with the TPM1-ALK gene subtype. Three cases of ALK-rearranged RCC diagnosed in the Department of Pathology, the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, Zhengzhou, China from January 2020 to December 2024 were collected.
