Article Abstract
This review discusses several health behaviours associated with the progression and impact of osteoarthritis (OA) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA), including weight management, physical activity, medication adherence and smoking. An overview of current theories of behaviour-change is provided in terms of principles that can guide medical practice. Finally, evaluation studies of interventions targeting weight loss, physical activity and medication adherence in patients with OA or RA are presented and discussed. Of existing behaviour-change interventions in this population, few have taken a comprehensive theory-based approach to behaviour-change. Practitioners who provide lifestyle or behavioural advice to patients would do well to adopt a less prescriptive and more patient-centred approach in which they, or other health professionals to whom they refer the patient, assist the patient in formulating personal change goals, in translating good intentions into specific action plans and in closely monitoring their progress towards self-chosen goals.

Introduction: Adolescents supported by child protection services (CPS) represent a population exposed to repeated relational trauma that significantly increases the risk of developing complex trauma characterized by polymorphic symptomatology. The behavioral problems presented by adolescents followed by CPS may fit within this nosographic framework. They can lead to major difficulties in adapting to their environment, especially when the trajectory of polyvictimization is pronounced.

Introduction: Since only around 10% of people with gambling disorder (GD) seek professional treatment or attend self-help groups, multiple strategies are needed to improve this rate. The proposal of the Behavioral Addictions Centre 'Adcom' (Madrid, Spain) is one of these strategies, a pioneering and innovative program aimed at the general population to identify people with addictions such as GD, in an attempt tp offer them appropriate evidence-based treatments.
Materials And Methods: We analyzed information obtained from the first 305 adults who voluntarily sought attention at Adcom for self-referred gambling, and conducted a descriptive, cross-sectional and observational study of this population.

While we work with patients when they are victims of an adverse event in their care, we too often ignore the fact that the caregiver also experiences the consequences of this event. Some of these events lengthen hospital stays, aggravate health problems and can even lead to death. For the caregivers involved, as well as for the health-care teams, the effects are far from negligible in terms of affect and psychological suffering.
