We presented a novel platform for an ultrafast PCR system, called the Rotary PCR Genetic Analyzer, which incorporates a thermal block and resistive temperature detector (RTD) for thermal cycling control, a disposable PCR microchip, and a stepper motor. The influenza viral RNAs from H3N2, H5N1, and H1N1 were simultaneously identified with high sensitivity and speed.

Purpose: Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) represents the most common form of inherited retinal dystrophy (IRD), identified by a gradual degeneration of photoreceptors, ultimately resulting in nyctalopia and impaired vision. This study was conducted to screen the rhodopsin and peripherin2 genes for possible pathogenic mutations in north Indian RP patients.
Study Design: We focused on assessing the whole coding region and the intron-exon boundaries of RHO and PRPH2 genes in RP patients and control subjects.

Background: Tuberculosis remains a significant global health issue. Sputum smear microscopy has low sensitivity, making it difficult to diagnose. Analysis of miRNA from EBC (exhaled breath condensate) offers a potential non-invasive diagnostic method that could improve sensitivity and specificity for TB detection, including extrapulmonary TB (EPTB).

Objectives: We aimed to compare the clinical, electrophysiologic, and sonographic characteristics of commonly affected peripheral nerves in suspected cases of pure neuritic leprosy (PNL) and to describe an ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) procedure to improve diagnostic capabilities in PNL.
Methods: This retrospective study was carried out at Roy Neuro Care Centre, Ranchi, Jharkhand, India through revisiting charts of suspected cases of PNL from October 2022 to June 2024. The charts of individuals with a history, examination, and nerve ultrasound consistent with PNL were reviewed.

Liquid biopsies, which analyze circulating tumor cells or cell-free circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) from blood, have emerged as promising cancer detection and monitoring tools. Specifically, human papillomavirus (HPV) cell-free (cf) DNA is gaining recognition as a prognostic marker in high-risk HPV-related cancers. However, detecting circulating markers for cervical cancer (CC) requires highly sensitive techniques to quantify circulating HPV DNA.

Purpose: Juvenile onset open-angle glaucoma (JOAG) manifests in individuals under the age of 40, resulting in elevated intraocular pressure and significant optic nerve damage. To broaden the spectrum of mutations associated with JOAG and to determine their specific structural implications, we examined Myocilin and Cytochrome P450 1B1 gene in a cohort of 111 unrelated North Indian patients diagnosed with JOAG.
Study Design: A clinical and experimental study.
