A study of events with missing transverse energy and an energetic jet is performed using pp collision data at a center-of-mass energy of 7 TeV. The data were collected by the CMS detector at the LHC, and correspond to an integrated luminosity of 36 pb(-1). An excess of these events over standard model contributions is a signature of new physics such as large extra dimensions and unparticles. The number of observed events is in good agreement with the prediction of the standard model, and significant extension of the current limits on parameters of new physics benchmark models is achieved.

Background: Polyorchidism with cryptorchidism is an extremely rare congenital anomaly, particularly in children. Diagnosis and management are significantly more complex in low-middle-income countries (LMICs) due to resource limitations, including absent laparoscopy, increasing risks of torsion, malignancy, and infertility.
Case Presentation: An 8-year-old male from an LMIC presented with a non-palpable left testis.

Background: This study aimed to evaluate the effects of congenital tooth agenesis (hypodontia) on craniofacial morphology and facial symmetry using cephalometric (CEPH) and posteroanterior (PA) canting analyses.
Materials And Methods: This retrospective cross-sectional study included 141 individuals, comprising 101 patients with congenital tooth agenesis and 40 controls, all of whom had pre-treatment CEPH and PA radiographs. The data were obtained retrospectively from the digital archive of orthodontic patients between 2014 and 2024, enhancing the comprehensiveness of the findings.

Background and study aims Post-colonoscopy colorectal cancer (PCCRC) represents a potential missed opportunity to diagnose or prevent colorectal cancer. This study aimed to create a standardised, nationwide audit system to determine why PCCRCs occur and to generate evidence to prevent them. Patients and methods PCCRCs occurring 6-48 months after a colonoscopy were identified from English national datasets and uploaded to a secure portal.

Unlabelled: Gait disturbances in pediatric patients can be wrought with diagnostic pitfalls given the broad infectious, traumatic, musculoskeletal, and neurological etiologies. Furthermore, children can have difficulty communicating their pain and can be hard to examine. This case highlights the importance of slowing down to obtain a detailed history as well as perform a thorough exam in our pediatric patients, which can be challenging in a busy emergency department.
