Article Abstract

We developed a novel method to prepare nanocapsules. A solute often crystallizes when its solubility alters from one solvent to another, and its firstborn crystals are used as templates to prepare nanocapsules for the first time, which is called firstborn microcrystallization method. By using this method, the maximum diameter of the nanocapsules including artesunate is about 76 nm, and wrapping state is well. One important advantage of our method is that the preparation of the nanocapsules operates easily and is a one-time process with no other cumbersome processes necessary, therefore avoiding secondary pollution. The proposed method provides a new route to prepare monodisperse nanocapsules to increase bioavailability of hydrophobic solutes.

: Dermatitis is frequently treated with dexamethasone cutaneous application, which causes adverse effects mainly when it is chronically administered. Sesamol is a phytochemical compound known for its anti-inflammatory activity and low toxicity. Therefore, this study reports the optimization of a guar gum hydrogel with enhanced physicochemical and microbiological stability, providing an effective dosage form for topical application of sesamol nanocapsules to treat irritant contact dermatitis.

New formulation of diflubenzuron, was carried out through a simple and green route using polyethylene glycol (PEG). The insecticidal efficacy of PEG nano-capsules loaded with diflubenzuron (DFB) pesticide was evaluated against Helicoverpa armigera (Heb). The loaded nanoparticles had the spherical-shape and an average size of 80 ± 20 nm.

This study aimed to develop Nystatin-loaded chitosan/guar gum cationic polyelectrolyte nanocapsules (CGGNCs) for the treatment of fungal keratitis (FK). CGGNCs were prepared using the polyelectrolyte complex coacervation technique and characterized for size, surface charge, entrapment efficiency, viscosity, pH, and in vitro release profile. The in vitro antifungal activity of CGGNCs and drug suspension was studied in Candida albicans, and ex vivo permeation was assessed using goat cornea.

The rise of antibiotic-resistant Salmonella in poultry poses a significant public health challenge. This study assessed the efficacy of carvacrol and trans-cinnamaldehyde, in free and nanoencapsulated forms, as natural alternatives to chlorine for inactivating antibiotic-resistant Salmonella in chicken. While several studies have evaluated free trans-cinnamaldehyde and carvacrol, there is a notable lack of research on encapsulated forms, using different types of capsules for controlled release of these antimicrobials in food applications.

In this study, Ni-TiN@CN nanocapsules were successfully prepared by the DC arc method and the self-polymerization reaction of dopamine. The effect of material composition on their microwave absorbing properties was systematically investigated. The crystal structure, core-shell morphology, and the successful construction of the nitrogen-doped carbon layer of samples were confirmed by x-ray diffractometer, Raman spectroscopy, x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and scanning electron microscopy.
