This study quantitatively evaluated the adsorption performance of natural bentonite for removing three dye classes-cationic (Basic dye: BEZACRYL RED GRL), anionic (Reactive dye: AVITERA LIGHT RED SE), and non-ionic (Disperse dye: BEMACRON BLUE HP3R) from synthetic textile wastewater. Batch adsorption experiments were conducted under varying conditions of contact time (15-90 min), adsorbent dosage (20-60 g L⁻), pH (4 and 12), and temperature (25-100 °C), with dye concentrations quantified by UV-Vis spectroscopy. At a contact time of 30 min and room temperature (25 °C), maximum removal efficiencies reached 99.

Esther Miriam Lederberg's brilliant scientific lifework, from the discovery of phage lambda, bacterial conjugation, and replica plating, provided essential tools that have been shaping the field of bacterial genetics for decades. Fundamental principles and ideas derived from her work have influenced many significant discoveries in microbial genetics over the past 70 years. From the operon model to recombinant DNA technology, from antibiotic resistance research to the discovery of restriction enzymes, Esther's work has set the stage for groundbreaking scientific work including many Nobel Prizes.

Objectives: This study provides a deeper understanding of older adults' perceived mental health impact of sexual victimization during their lifetime, the effects of the victimization on their sense of identity and interpersonal relationships, and their coping mechanisms upon sexual victimization.
Method: Between August 2020 and April 2021, fifteen victims (12 women, three men) aged 70 years and older participated in semi-structured in-depth interviews, analyzed using thematic analysis.
Results: Participants reported that experiences of sexual victimization stayed with them throughout their lives (Theme 1: ).

Nitrogen (N) is essential for plant growth, yet excessive fertilizer use contributes to environmental degradation. Actinorhizal trees like form symbiotic relationships with nitrogen-fixing bacteria of the genus reducing reliance on synthetic fertilizers. However, distinguishing between soil-derived and symbiotically fixed nitrogen remains a challenge.
