Background: The use of probiotics as a treatment for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is gaining attention, with recent studies indicating that certain probiotics or combinations may have mental health benefits for patients with IBS.

Aims: To systematically review and meta-analyze, using network meta-analysis (NWM), the comparative effectiveness and safety of probiotics with psychotropic potential on quality of life, depression, and anxiety in patients with IBS.

Methods: Relevant randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were analyzed, using a Bayesian NWM, to compare the performance of probiotics with mental health benefits in IBS treatment.

Engineering Research Center of Storage and Processing of Xinjiang Characteristic Fruits and Vegetables, Ministry of Education, School of Food Science, Shihezi University, Shihezi, 832000 Xinjiang China.

The current work aimed to investigate the effects of fermentation of , , and on the physicochemical, electronic sensory evaluation, and flavour characteristics of heat-sterilized tomato juice (HTJ). The results indicated that LAB fermentation significantly decreased the pH, sucrose, and glucose, and lactic acid was increased. E-nose and tongue analyses revealed that the response to organic sulfides, terpenoids, and sourness increased after LAB fermentation HS-SPME-GC-MS and OAV revealed that heat-sterilization resulted a significant loss of aroma compounds (38.

Unlabelled: Lactic acid bacteria (LAB) fermentation has been shown to improve the nutritional and functional activity of grains. The aim of this study was to investigate the changes in physicochemical properties, antioxidant activity, hypoglycaemic activity and metabolites of maize juice after fermentation with two species of Lactobacillus and . The non-targeted metabolomics analysis based on UHPLC-Q-TOF-MS metabolomics method was performed to reveal the metabolic mechanism of corn juice.

Purpose: The aim of the study was to evaluate the toxicity of triclosan in the Danio rerio model and mammalian cells, as well as to assess its antimicrobial and antibiofilm activity against selected bacterial pathogens.

Methods: Triclosan toxicity was assessed in Danio rerio embryos in accordance with OECD Test Guideline 236: Fish Embryo Acute Toxicity (FET) Test. Cytotoxicity was evaluated in vitro using the MTT assay on human dermal fibroblasts (BJ) and rat cardiomyoblasts (H9c2).
