Misattributions people make about their own affective reactions can be used to measure attitudes implicitly. Combining the logic of projective tests with advances in priming research, the affect misattribution procedure (AMP) was sensitive to normatively favorable and unfavorable evaluations (Experiments 1-4), and the misattribution effect was strong at both fast and slow presentation rates (Experiments 3 and 4). Providing further evidence of validity, the AMP was strongly related to individual differences in self-reported political attitudes and voting intentions (Experiment 5). In the socially sensitive domain of racial attitudes, the AMP showed in-group bias for Black and White participants. AMP performance correlated with explicit racial attitudes, a relationship that was moderated by motivations to control prejudice (Experiment 6). Across studies, the task was unaffected by direct warnings to avoid bias. Advantages of the AMP include large effect sizes, high reliability, ease of use, and resistance to correction attempts.

Introduction: Uncertain decisions can be risky (with known probabilities) or ambiguous (with unknown probabilities). Previous studies have found that negative affect can increase risk aversion and ambiguity aversion, but it is unknown if these effects generalize to more realistic negative stimuli. In real life, negative affect is frequently induced by exposure to news reports.

The global rise in obesity has intersected with increasing breast cancer incidence, generating a critical need to understand how excess adiposity affects diagnostic accuracy, treatment delivery, and patient outcomes. Although large epidemiologic studies have established associations between obesity and worse breast cancer prognosis, individual-level clinical nuances remain underrepresented. This review systematically evaluates case-based evidence to identify how obesity contributes to diagnostic delays and treatment complications in breast cancer care.

BackgroundWork plays a crucial role in life, contributing to financial stability and well-being. Huntington's disease (HD), a genetic neurodegenerative disorder, can significantly affect work capacity. Anosognosia (lack of awareness of impairments) and avoidant coping are common in HD but remain unexplored in relation to work outcomes.

Context: Dry Eye Disease (DED) is a symptomatic multifactorial condition of the ocular surface, primarily characterized by tear film instability, which can lead to ocular surface damage. While traditionally associated with adults, recent studies have shown a significant prevalence of DED in pediatric populations, exacerbated by modern lifestyle changes such as increased screen time and environmental factors. Pediatric DED (PeDED) often goes underdiagnosed due to a lack of tailored diagnostic tools and the misattribution of symptoms to other conditions.
