Using data from the Registered Nurses Database and a recently conducted national survey, this study examined the internal migration patterns of Canadian-educated rural RNs. Inter-provincial migration rates, ranging from 11% to 27% depending on the database used, mask much wider variations in sub-provincial movement rates, which are particularly relevant when considering the provision of nursing services in rural and remote communities. Rural RNs are more likely to migrate if they are female, older, working in nursing stations, and living in remote communities. A majority of RNs whose migration is associated with going to school after their initial nursing education do not return to the jurisdiction where they were first registered. Targeted migration studies are needed to fully understand both the detailed patterns and the predictors of such movements in order to better assess recruitment and retention policies and to enhance our overall health human resources planning models.

Purpose: Although stent grafts have demonstrated significant benefits over bare metal stents and conventional venoplasty at maintaining patency of dialysis vascular access, they are far from perfect and are prone to edge stenosis. A new strategy of placing stent graft to reduce the possible occurrence of edge stenosis is therefore proposed in this study.
Materials And Methods: A retrospective review between 2015 and 2023 identified 21 arteriovenous grafts (AVG) hemodialysis patients who underwent stent graft placement with the medial stent end in an outflow venous valve.

Stimuli-responsive hydrogels have gained significant attention in wound care due to their ability to adapt to dynamic physiological conditions, making them promising candidates for facilitating chronic wound healing. These hydrogels can respond to both internal and external environmental stimuli such as temperature, pH, reactive oxygen species (ROS), glucose levels, MMP, mechanical forces, magnetism, and ultrasound, enabling precise, on-demand therapeutic interventions through controlled drug release. This responsiveness is governed by reversible changes in their polymer network structure caused by interactions with external stimuli.

Introduction: CCR2, a chemokine receptor critical for immune cell migration, inflammation, and HIV infection, is regulated by poorly understood mechanisms.
Methods: This study investigated the unusually long CCR2 3'-UTR's role in post-transcriptional regulation.
Results: The full-length 3'-UTR significantly inhibited reporter gene expression in primary CD4+ T cells and macrophages, likely mediated by RNA binding proteins (RBPs).

Ascariasis is primarily an intestinal parasitic infection, with ectopic migration to the genitourinary tract, representing an uncommon clinical entity. Such presentations are infrequently reported and may pose a diagnostic challenge, particularly in the absence of gastrointestinal symptoms. We report a case of an 88-year-old female from a suburban region of Nepal, who presented with bilateral iliac pain and dysuria of three days' duration.
