Stentless bioprosthetic valves for the aortic position offer excellent hemodynamic characteristics, making them an attractive choice ahead of other valve prostheses. We present a unique case in which a patient underwent aortic valve replacement with a stentless porcine valve and mitral valve repair for severe aortic and mitral regurgitation 1 year after a homograft root replacement for acute aortic endocarditis. The rationale for our approach is outlined in the context of current surgical trends.

Meniscus allograft transplantation restores knee function and alleviates pain in symptomatic patients with irreparable meniscus loss, particularly in younger individuals without advanced arthritis. Surgical techniques such as bone bridge, bone plug, and all-soft tissue aim to replicate native meniscus root attachments for optimal biomechanical restoration and graft stability. Clinical outcomes and return to sport rates are generally quite favorable, with no clear advantage of one technique over the others.

To evaluate early and midterm outcomes of cryopreserved aortic homograft implantation in pediatric patients undergoing aortic valve and root replacement. A retrospective analysis was conducted on 36 pediatric patients aged 2 to 7 years who underwent cryopreserved aortic homograft implantation between January 2016 and December 2024. Indications included complex congenital aortic valve disease, annular hypoplasia, failed Ross procedure, and infective endocarditis.

Aortic root replacement for infected endocarditis is associated with excessive bleeding and very high mortality. Bleeding management is mostly achieved with allogenic blood product administration, concomitant pharmacologic agents, and application of hemostatic factors. An immunosuppressed male patient with large B-cell Lymphoma and thrombocytopenia with aortic root abscess underwent root replacement surgery with a homograft.

Objectives: This systematic review aims to evaluate the optimal timing for orthodontic tooth movement (OTM) following alveolar bone augmentation, the types of alveolar bone graft materials used, and the associated animal models.
Material And Methods: A systematic search was conducted across PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, Scopus, and grey literature databases, covering studies from January 1st, 2014, to November 30th, 2024. Studies addressing combined alveolar bone augmentation and OTM were selected, with outcomes such as OTM rate, bone formation, and root resorption assessed through imaging or histological methods.
