This study describes a monthly Atlas for the Northeast Asian Seas 2023 (ANAS23) with a 1/10° horizontal resolution and 73 vertical levels. For ANAS23, over 1.6 million hydrographic profiles were analyzed, utilizing a simple kriging interpolation technique, which considers data density and their covariance at each grid point, along with a profile stabilizing method to minimize damage to water-mass structures.

This article presents AlterVerse, a framework that provides users with novel experiences through visual illusions of interactively altering physical objects in extended reality environments. In the AlterVerse framework, physical objects are seamlessly virtualized by aligning their 3-D virtual replicas with them. Methods: A retrospective review was conducted on 90 dogs (103 stifles) surgically treated for MPL between January 2006 and March 2024. Data collected included signalment, side of operated stifle, patellar luxation grade, symptom duration, and lameness score.
Human papillomavirus (HPV) is an important causative factor of cervical cancer and is associated with nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Merkel cell polyomavirus (MCPyV) is a rare and highly fatal cutaneous virus that can cause Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC). Although coinfection with oncogenic HPV and MCPyV may increase cancer risk, a definitive etiological link has not been established.

We recently established a long-term SARS-CoV-2 infection model using lung-cancer xenograft mice and identified mutations that arose in the SARS-CoV-2 genome during long-term propagation. Here, we applied our model to the SARS-CoV-2 Delta variant, which has increased transmissibility and immune escape compared with ancestral SARS-CoV-2. We observed limited mutations in SARS-CoV-2 Delta during long-term propagation, including two predominant mutations: R682W in the spike protein and L330W in the nucleocapsid protein.

According to the concept of drug repositioning, we investigated the efficacy of the c-Abl tyrosine kinase inhibitor radotinib, which is a drug that is approved for the treatment of chronic myeloid leukemia, in the treatment of disease progression in prion models, including prion-infected cell models, 20 and hamster cerebellar slice culture models, and 263K scrapie-infected hamster models.

Although 2020 was the fourth warmest year on record in northern Asia, the cold condition in April 2020 caused severe damage to the agricultural and marine ecosystems in northeastern Asia. Previous studies have indicated that the dipole atmospheric circulation over Siberia and the East Sea (Japan Sea) produced this cold environment with strong northwesterly wind. Background: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of transarterial bleomycin sclerotherapy of early-stage facial arteriovenous malformation (AVM).
Methods: A retrospective review was performed of patients who underwent bleomycin sclerotherapy for early-stage AVM (Schobinger stage I or II) in a single-referral vascular anomalies center. Bleomycin was slowly infused transarterially with flow control techniques to prolong the effects of bleomycin.

Background: Angiographic outcomes of contact aspiration thrombectomy (CAT), a frontline thrombectomy strategy, can vary depending on balloon guide catheter (BGC) usage, stroke etiology, and occlusion location.
