Purpose: Chromosomal aberration analysis in peripheral blood lymphocytes was performed to evaluate late cytogenetic effects of long-term low dose-rate gamma-irradiation exposure among students and residents exposed in radiocontaminated buildings.
Materials And Methods: Blood samples were taken from 1913 subjects (age 17.8+/-13.
Experiments on high temperature oxidation of multi-chlorinated hydrocarbons, tetrachloroethylene (C2Cl4), with hydrocarbon fuels, CH4, were performed in a 15 mm i.d. tubular flow reactor.

The occasional reoccurrence of anticoagulation after protamine reversal of heparin led us to hypothesize that protamine plasma concentrations decrease rapidly. We developed a method for the measurement of protamine in plasma.

We hypothesized that children would have different pharmacokinetic variables and require a dosing scheme different from adults to maintain stable and effective serum epsilonACA concentrations. Eight patients were enrolled in our study.

Highly water-soluble drugs, such as epsilon-ACA, often have larger distribution volumes in males than in females. We hypothesized that epsilon-ACA concentrations using this dosing scheme would differ by gender because of differences in body composition and weight-adjusted volumes of distribution.

In solid phase binding assays, the radiolabeled protein binds specifically to lipopolysaccharide (LPS) with a Kd value on the order of 10(-7) M. A cDNA coding for this protein has been isolated and sequenced.

The prostanoids were produced in a dose- and time-dependent manner, which was sensitive to actinomycin D and cycloheximide. Interleukin-1 also had a pronounced, but reversible, cytostatic effect on chondrocytes, which was not attributable to prostanoid or polyamine synthesis.

Two of the muteins demonstrated 4-7-fold increase in bioactivity as compared to that of the native IL-1. The enhanced biological potency coincides with an increase in both receptor binding affinity and in vivo tumor inhibitory activity.
