Purpose: The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of 3 months of seated Tai Chi (TC) practice on the eye-hand coordination and sitting balance control of subjects with Parkinson's disease.

Method: A prospective non-randomized study was conducted with 29 subjects practicing TC and 27 subjects as controls according to their preference. The seated TC group underwent 3 months of training with a total of 24 sessions (1hour/session, 2 sessions/week).

Kaposi's sarcoma herpesvirus (KSHV) establishes lifelong oncogenic infection in lymphatic endothelial cells (LECs) by ensuring episomal maintenance of its genome via the viral protein LANA. Efficient viral genome maintenance typically involves host DNA replication and episome tethering, but the extent of cell-type-specific regulation remains unclear. Here, we identify that KSHV hijacks the pioneering function of the endothelial-specific transcription factor SOX18 to facilitate persistence of viral episomes.

Background: Accurate grading of meningiomas is crucial for patient prognostication and management. Intratumoral heterogeneity may lead to differences in the biological and radiological properties observed within different tumor subregions. This study aimed to represent the spatial distributions and local patterns of tumor heterogeneity in meningiomas using non-invasive habitat analysis on filtered multisequence magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and evaluate the utility of integrated models combining habitat and clinical data for meningioma grade prediction.

(MTB)-related peritonitis is a rare but serious complication in patients receiving maintenance peritoneal dialysis (PD). Early diagnosis is difficult due to the low sensitivity and delayed results of conventional microscopy and culture methods. MTB polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing in PD effluent is recommended as a diagnostic adjunct, but real-world data remain limited.
