In the present study, eight undescribed compounds, namely caseazins R-Y (1-8) were isolated from the twigs and leaves of Casearia kurzii (Flacourtiaceae). Their structures were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic analysis, nuclear magnetic resonance methods, X-ray diffraction analysis, and ECD calculations. Compound 1 was characterized as a rare 2,3-seco podocarpane carbon skeleton.

General anesthetics are essential in pediatric medicine, yet concerns persist regarding their potential neurotoxic effects on the developing brain. Whether transient synaptic disruptions caused by anesthesia lead to long-term deficits or are mitigated by endogenous plasticity remains unresolved. Here, we use longitudinal in vivo two-photon imaging in awake mice to investigate the structural and functional consequences of a single, clinically relevant exposure to sevoflurane at postnatal day 20.

Fluorine-19 magnetic resonance imaging (F MRI) offers distinct advantages, including background-free signal detection, quantitative analysis, and deep tissue penetration. However, its application is currently limited by challenges associated with existing F MRI contrast agents, such as short transverse relaxation times (T), limited imaging sensitivity, and suboptimal biocompatibility. To overcome these limitations, a glutathione (GSH)-responsive triblock copolymer (PB7), featuring self-immolative characteristics, has been developed.

Adolescents are vulnerable to both depression and adiposity, but how these conditions evolve over time from adolescence to early adulthood and whether sex differences exist remains unclear.
Objective: This study aims to first identify the population heterogeneity in the joint trajectories of depressive symptoms and BMI from adolescence to early adulthood and then explore the sex differences in the joint trajectories.
Background: Precise preoperative discrimination of invasive lung adenocarcinoma (IA) from preinvasive lesions (adenocarcinoma in situ [AIS]/minimally invasive adenocarcinoma [MIA]) and prediction of high-risk histopathological features are critical for optimizing resection strategies in early-stage lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD).
Methods: In this multicenter study, 813 LUAD patients (tumors ≤3 cm) formed the training cohort. A total of 1,709 radiomic features were extracted from the PET/CT images.
