Purpose Of Review: To summarize pediatric palliative care (PPC) research from 2016 to 2021 as it intersects with pediatric oncology and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT).
Recent Findings: Children and adolescents with cancer who receive PPC have improved quality of life (QOL), symptom burden, advance care planning discussions, rates of hospice enrollment, home deaths, and receive less intensive therapy at the end-of-life (EOL). Parents report improved QOL and preparation for EOL.
BACKGROUND Primary malignant melanoma of the brain is a challenging radiological diagnosis and a high index of suspicion is required about patients with the condition. In the pediatric population, only a few cases have been reported in the literature. The purpose of this report was to describe the expected imaging characteristics and the importance of a multidisciplinary approach in the diagnosis of this rare entity.

Here we present evidence from systems-based miRNA analyses of large-scale patient data sets along with in vitro and in vivo experiments that miR-192 is a key regulator of angiogenesis. The potent anti-angiogenic effect of miR-192 stems from its ability to globally downregulate angiogenic pathways in cancer cells through regulation of EGR1 and HOXB9.
