Multiparametric magnetic resonance imaging (mpMRI) is an established imaging modality for prostate cancer. In this context, "multiparametric" refers to the combination of anatomical sequences (T1- and T2-weighted) with functional (diffusion-weighted) and contrast-enhanced sequences. Anatomical sequences offer high spatial resolution, while diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) assesses the movement of water molecules within tissues, providing information on tissue composition.

Objectives: To explore the rationale of unilateral extended pelvic lymph node dissection (ePLND) during radical prostatectomy (RP) by external validation of a nomogram for unilateral ePLND (unilat-NG) and comparison to the Briganti 2019 nomogram.

Patients And Methods: Patients with magnetic resonance imaging-fusion biopsy and consecutive RP with bilateral ePLND were identified within an institutional database. The primary endpoint was the detection rate of lymph node invasion (LNI) contralateral to the prostatic lobe with adverse cancer characteristics.

Aims: Catheter ablation with a cryoballoon (CB) provides effective and durable pulmonary vein (PV) isolation (PVI) associated with encouraging clinical outcome data. The novel POLARx CB incorporates unique features, which may translate into improved safety, efficacy, and outcomes. The ICE-AGE-1 study aimed to assess the efficacy, safety, and 1-year clinical follow-up of the POLARx CB in comparison to the Arctic Front Advance Pro CB (AF-CB4).
