Introduction: Data-driven strategies might combat the spreading of infectious pig disease and improve the early detection of potential pig health problems. The current study aimed to explore individual views on data recording and use of data tools for pig health management by recruiting stakeholders ( = 202) in Spain, Ireland, and the Netherlands.
Methods: Questionnaire focused on current on-farm challenges, current status of data recording on farms, and evaluation of the two mock data tools.

Background: Post-weaning diarrhea (PWD) is a frequently occurring health and welfare issue in weaned piglets. Behavioral changes indicating impaired health may be detectable before the onset of signs and could be useful to detect the development of PWD early, enabling targeted and timely interventions. In order to assess the risk of SARS-CoV-2 infection, transmission and reservoir development in swine, we combined results of an experimental and two observational studies. First, intranasal and intratracheal challenge of eight pigs did not result in infection, based on clinical signs and PCR on swab and lung tissue samples. Objectives: This study aimed to quantify ESBL-producing (ESBL-), carbapenem- and ciprofloxacin-resistant (CiproR) in animal feces on broiler and pig farms with a history of high antibiotic use in Belgium and the Netherlands.
A reduction in antimicrobial use (AMU) is needed to curb the increase in antimicrobial resistance in broiler production. Improvements in biosecurity can contribute to a lower incidence of disease and thereby lower the need for AMU.
