This study investigated the therapeutic potential of Astragalus tephrosoides (whole plant) dichloromethane (DCM) extract, an underexplored species native to Baluchistan, Pakistan. Phytochemical screening revealed alkaloids, terpenoids, saponins, phenolics, steroids, volatile oils, and coumarins. GC-MS analysis identified 51 bioactive constituents, several with known antioxidant, antimicrobial, and anticancer properties.

Moroccan L. seeds were investigated for their phenolic profile and antidiabetic potential. Ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography with diode array detection and electrospray ionization mass spectrometry analysis revealed a rich phenolic composition, including benzoic acid, cannabisin B, genistein, and epicatechin.

Background: is a multipurpose plant known for its remedial properties but the antimicrobial and hepatoprotective activity of its pods remained unexplored.

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the antimicrobial and hepatoprotective activity of n-hexane (ANPH) and methanol (ANPM) extracts of pods to scientifically validate their medicinal claims.

Methods: After the pharmacognostic evaluation of pods, tests were carried out to estimate phenolic and flavonoid content and antimicrobial potential.

Developing new anti-tyrosinase drugs seems crucial for the medical and industrial fields since irregular melanin synthesis is linked to the resurgence of several skin conditions, including melanoma, and the browning of fruits and vegetables. A novel series of N-1 and C-3 substituted indole-based thiosemicarbazones 5(a-r) are synthesized and further analyzed for their inhibition potential against tyrosinase enzyme through assays. The synthesized compounds displayed very good to moderate inhibition with half maximal inhibitory concentration in the range of 12.

This study investigates the influence of small control cylinders on the fluid dynamics around a square cylinder using the Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM). Varying the gaps (L) between the main and control cylinders from 0 to 6, four distinct flow regimes are identified: the solo body regime (SBR), shear layer reattachment (SLR), suppressed fully developed flow (SFDF), and intermittent shedding (IS). The presence of control cylinders results in significant reductions in flow-induced forces, with drag coefficient (CD) and root mean square values of drag and lift coefficients (CD and CL) decreasing by approximately 31%, 90%, and 81%, respectively.

Cancer is the second most prevalent cause of mortality in the world, despite the availability of several medications for cancer treatment. Therefore, the cancer research community emphasized on computational techniques to speed up the discovery of novel anticancer drugs. : In the current study, QSAR-based virtual screening was performed on the Zinc15 compound library (271 derivatives of methotrexate (MTX) and phototrexate (PTX)) to predict their inhibitory activity against dihydrofolate reductase (DHFR), a potential anticancer drug target.

Solid dispersions of artemether and polyethylene glycol 6000 (PEG6000) were prepared in ratio 12 : 88 (group-1). Self-emulsified solid dispersions of artemether were prepared by using polyethylene glycol 6000, Cremophor-A25, olive oil, Transcutol, and hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) in ratio 12 : 75 : 5 : 4 : 2 : 2, respectively (group-2). In third group, only Cremophor-A25 was replaced with Poloxamer 188 compared to group-2.
