We report the design of curved anthracene systems that undergo efficient Dewar isomerization upon visible light absorption and release heat through thermally triggered reverse isomerization, with high cyclability. These systems achieve remarkably high energy storage capacities-up to 170 kJ/mol and 0.65 MJ/kg-comparable to the best reported MOST materials, while offering the added capability of harnessing standard solar spectrum and presenting chemical robustness.

The donor-acceptor anthracenes undergo visible light-induced [4+4] cycloaddition reaction, producing metastable cycloadducts, dianthracenes with quaternary carbons, and storing photon energy. The triggered cycloreversion of dianthracenes to anthracenes discharges the stored energy as heat in the order of 100 kJ/mol (200 J/g).

Understanding the role of host genetics and metagenomics is essential to establish the molecular basis of colitis pathogenesis. In the present study, we have used a common composite dose of DSS to compare the differential disease severity response in C57BL/6 (Th1 biased) and BALB/c (Th2 biased) mice with zero mortality rates.

Without the protection of the hydrogen bonding their contrast producing labile proton exchanges too quickly with the solvent to produce any appreciable contrast. Through a number of variable temperature experiments we demonstrate that under the conditions when the hydrogen bond network breaks and the high exchange returns back, the contrast drops quickly.

By exploiting appropriate hydrogen bonding interactions like N-HS, N-HN and C-HO, either (Z)-selective anti-Markovnikov or Markovnikov products could be obtained for an internal alkyne, exclusively.

DESs are used to develop the systems, keeping in mind the fact that these are relatively less toxic than ionic liquids, and hence, DES based magnetic compound is expected to be relatively less toxic than magnetic ionic liquids. In this work, spin-lattice (T ) relaxation measurements are carried out in the binary mixtures of deep eutectic solvent with a paramagnetic component choliniumtetrachloroferrate ([Ch][FeCl ]).
