Photo/electro-catalytic stereo/enantioselective cross aza-pinacol coupling: synthesis of chiral amino alcohols.

The C-C cross-coupling reactions of amines/imines with carbonyls through aza-pinacol coupling have been used as methods for synthesizing pharmaceutically significant vicinal amino alcohols. Apart from traditional transition-metal catalysis, recent progress includes the use of photocatalysis and electrocatalysis as viable approaches. Further advances could be achieved by developing enantioselective methods to synthesize enantiomerically enriched amino alcohols.

Transfer learning based generalized framework for state of health estimation of Li-ion cells.

Estimating the state of health (SOH) of batteries powering electronic devices in real-time while in use is a necessity. The applicability of most of the existing methods is limited to the datasets that are used to train the models. In this work, we propose a generic method for SOH estimation with much wider applicability.
