Objectives: Small cell carcinoma of the vagina (SmCCV) is an extremely rare disease. Evidence-based data and specific guidelines are lacking. We conducted the first systematic review of case reports to provide the most overall picture of SmCCV.

Coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) related to Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) is a worldwide health concern. Despite the majority of patients will evolve asymptomatic or mild-moderate upper respiratory tract infections, 20% will develop severe disease. Based on current pathogenetic knowledge, a severe COVID-19 form is mainly a hyperinflammatory, immune-mediated disorder, triggered by a viral infection.

Diagnostic accuracy of the Gaussian first-trimester combined screening for pre-eclampsia to predict small-for-gestational-age neonates.

Objective: Pre-eclampsia and delivery of small-for-gestational-age (SGA) neonates can be predicted from the first trimester. A Gaussian model for prediction of PE has recently been described, although its capacity to predict SGA is still unknown.

Methods: This was a secondary analysis of a prospective cohort study conducted at Vall d'Hebron University Hospital (Barcelona) in 2483 single pregnancies from October 2015 to September 2017.

A giant superinfected uterine angioleiomyoma with distant septic metastases: an extremely rare presentation of a benign process and a systematic review of the literature.

Purpose: Uterine angioleiomyoma is a rare type of leiomyoma variant and there are few cases reported in the literature. The definitive diagnosis is usually obtained only after the histopathologic examination because there are no specific imaging criteria for this disease. The objective of this article is to review published cases about this clinical condition.
