Guided tissue regeneration (GTR) and guided bone regeneration (GBR) are pivotal surgical techniques for addressing periodontal defects arising from periodontitis. These methods utilize barrier membranes to isolate soft tissue from bone defects, preventing premature fibroblast infiltration and promoting osteoblast colonization. However, infections caused by periodontitis-associated pathogens significantly elevate the risk of membrane failure, underscoring the need for advanced membrane designs.

Background: Bladder cancer is the 5 most prevalent cancer among Iranian men. Finding prognostic markers to predict behavior of this cancer can help us to choose the best treatment for patients from the first place. We aimed to evaluate the correlation of immunohistochemical markers with tumor stage, grade and prognosis of disease.

It contains spindle cells (myofibroblasts) with different inflammatory elements. Primary IMT of the kidney is a clinically rare disease and is difficult to differentiate from other renal malignancies.

We present a 29-year-old male patient presented with acute urinary retention and was diagnosed with large intrapelvic mass. After complete surgical resection, the histopathology confirmed the diagnosis of low MPNST.

Since IDC-P, unlike PIN, was strongly correlated with aggressive prostate cancer, differentiation of these is too necessary. So we evaluated immunohistopathological patterns and the prognostic factors of IDC-P and HGPIN, in radical prostatectomy samples.

Current treatments for OA are limited to decreasing associated pain, maintaining or improving joint function, and minimizing disability. However, these treatments have no effect on the regeneration of hyaline cartilage.

Minimal change disease (MCD) and focal and segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) are often studied together, because both present with heavy proteinuria and the nephrotic syndrome. The precise distinction between MCD and FSGS is sometimes difficult because of inadequate number of glomeruli for definite diagnosis. Some evidence suggests that markers of lipid peroxidation, such as malondialdehyde (MDA) is an index of free radical mediated injury and may be involved in the pathogenesis of FSGS.

Lupus nephritis (LN) is the most common and serious manifestation of systemic lupus erythematousus (SLE). The World Health Organization (WHO) and International Society of Nephrology/Renal Pathology Society (ISN/RPS 2003) classifications tend to correlate with the clinical syndrome and provide valuable information regarding prognosis and guideline for treatment. We retrospectively studied patients with biopsy proven lupus nephritis at our center from 1999 - 2003 to find whether clinical and laboratory parameters used to evaluate how close the diagnosis correlated with WHO and/ or ISN/RPS 2003 classification.

This study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of end-to-side nerve repair in both fresh and predegenerated specimens by histological evaluation in an animal study in rabbits. Thirty male rabbits were divided into three groups.
