As a serious complication after allogenic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT), venous thromboembolism (VTE) is significantly related to increased nonrelapse mortality. Therefore distinguishing patients at high risk of death who should receive specific therapeutic management is key to improving survival.
