Bilioptysis is a rare condition characterized by the presence of bile in the sputum, resulting from an abnormal fistulous connection between the biliary tree and the bronchus (biliobronchial fistula). Biliobronchial fistula is associated with high morbidity and mortality; hence, early diagnosis and timely treatment are crucial. We present a case of a 46-year-old male who presented with complaints of bilioptysis for 1 day.

We present an interesting case of a 17-year-old boy who experienced shortness of breath while playing. He was diagnosed to have an aberrant artery supplying the right lower lobe of the lung arising from the descending thoracic aorta on imaging. Thoracoscopic ligation of the aberrant vessel was done.

Rasmussen aneurysm refers to the aneurysmal dilatation of a pulmonary arterial branch adjacent to a cavitatory lesion caused by tuberculosis (TB). It is a rare occurrence and is predominantly treated using endovascular techniques. Here, we present a case of Rasmussen aneurysm involving the left pulmonary artery, which was surgically managed on an emergent basis, with a successful outcome.

Re-expansion pulmonary oedema (RPE) is not so rare complication associated with sudden expansion of a collapsed lung. RPE has been most frequently reported following rapid drainage of a large pneumothorax or chronic pleural effusion. Development of RPE following removal of a large intrathoracic mass is not commonly recognised, though sporadic reports exist in the literature.
