Gore-Tex sutures are commonly used for scleral-fixated intraocular lenses (SFIOL) due to their high tensile strength and lower risk of breakage. However, complications such as suture erosion and infection remain a concern. This report presents a case of Gore-Tex suture-associated endophthalmitis in a young patient.

Methods: The eligibility criteria for this systematic review were patients who had undergone cataract or clear lens extraction and had experienced residual refractive error. All study designs were considered for inclusion and non-English publications, non-peer reviewed articles, books, and systematic reviews were excluded.

The Zarit Burden Interview Arabic Abridged version (ZBI-A) was used to assess the level of burden experienced by caregivers.

Background: The quality of life (QoL) of patients with end-stage kidney disease (ESKD) who undergo dialysis is a reliable predictor of their long-term survival. Hemodialysis is the most common form of kidney replacement therapy for ESKD, followed by peritoneal dialysis.
