Background: Anemia is common in hemodialysis patients, and iron supplementation is essential for its management. However, the impact of baseline inflammation on the efficacy of oral versus intravenous iron remains unclear.
Methods: This post hoc analysis of the IHOPE trial included 193 maintenance hemodialysis patients stratified by median baseline high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hsCRP).

We report the case of a 3-month-old infant with methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) necrotizing fasciitis of the neck and chest complicated by bacteremia, pneumonia, and mediastinitis, which required multiple surgical debridements, including median sternotomy. The case is unsual given the patient's age and causative pathogen, and underscores the importance of early diagnosis, timely surgical intervention, and multidisciplinary collaboration to ensure survival.

Since 2016, epidemiological investigations have documented recurrent outbreaks of RDPV, exhibiting heightened virulence; however, the molecular mechanisms driving this increased pathogenicity remain poorly understood. In this study, an alignment of 67 complete RDPV sequences identified two high-frequency amino acid mutations at positions 27 and 297 in the VP2 capsid protein that distinguish RDPV strains from before and after the 2016 outbreak.

, a marine pathogen, employs biofilm formation to enhance environmental persistence and transmission. Biofilm development is intricately regulated by cyclic di-GMP (c-di-GMP), whose levels are controlled by diguanylate cyclases (DGCs) and phosphodiesterases (PDEs). This study elucidates the coordinated regulatory roles of the LysR-type transcriptional regulator AcsS and the PDE TpdA in biofilm formation.

Here, we present the first complete chloroplast genome of (154,018 bp), which exhibits a typical quadripartite structure, including an LSC (83,966 bp), SSC (18,910 bp), and two IRs (25,571 bp each). A total of 133 genes were annotated, with 114 unique genes and 19 duplicated in the IRs. .
