This article provides a dataset on the analysis of morphological characteristics and combining ability of some parental lines in the two line hybrid rice system in Vietnam. Four thermo-sensitive male sterile lines and seven pollen restorer lines were used in a Line x Tester mating system to produce twenty-eight hybrids. The parental lines were characterized on 14 agronomic traits in a completely random design experiment.

Occurrence and characteristics of microplastics in surface road dust in Kusatsu (Japan), Da Nang (Vietnam), and Kathmandu (Nepal).

Microplastics (MPs, plastics < 5 mm) are a growing concern in ecosystems, being found in the soil and water environment. One of the primary sources of MPs has been suspected to be road dust in urban areas as it can flow into waters with runoff. To understand the occurrence of MPs (100 μm-5 mm) in surface road dust of three cities (Kusatsu, Shiga, Japan; Da Nang, Vietnam; and Kathmandu, Nepal), we collected surface road dust samples.

Cognitive impairment in cerebellar lesions: a logit model based on neuropsychological testing.

Background: Damage to the cerebellum may lead to motor dysfunctions, but also to the neuropsychological deficits that comprise the Cerebellar Cognitive Affective Syndrome (CCAS). It can affect executive functions, attention, memory, visuospatial functions, language, and emotions. Our goal was to determine which neuropsychological tests could be effectively used to identify this syndrome during a short examination.

Food residue recycling by swine breeders in a developing economy: a case study in Da Nang, Viet Nam.

This study provides a detailed description of food residue collection by swine breeders in Da Nang, Viet Nam. In January 2011, the study surveyed 30 swine breeders in two villages with respect to locations, methods, prices, quantities, and prospects for food residue collection. The sampled swine breeders regularly visited 55 locations in central Da Nang to collect raw food residue.
