Histone arginine methylation by protein arginine methyltransferases (PRMTs) is crucial for transcriptional regulation and is implicated in cancers. Despite their therapeutic potential, some PRMTs present challenges as drug targets due to their context-dependent activities. Here, we demonstrate that hypoxia triggers the rapid condensation of PRMT2, which is essential for its histone H3R8 asymmetric dimethylation (H3R8me2a) activity.

Tracheobronchial Dieulafoy's disease (TBDD) is a rare bronchial artery vascular malformation, characterized clinically by sudden, recurrent, and life-threatening massive hemoptysis. This article reports the case of a 9-year-old female patient who presented with massive hemoptysis lasting two weeks. Following ineffective treatment at a local hospital, she was transferred to our institution.

It is maintained in nature through three transmission pathways: systemic, non-systemic and transovarial. Understanding the relative contributions of these transmission pathways is crucial for developing evidence-informed public health interventions to reduce its spillover risks to humans.

While vault RNA1-1 (vtRNA1-1) has been implicated in tumor biology, its specific role in cancer stemness and regorafenib resistance remains unexplored. In this study, we identify vtRNA1-1 as a critical regulator of cancer stemness and chemoresistance in Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). vtRNA1-1 enhances stemness properties by modulating the nuclear accumulation of Nanog, a core transcription factor.
