This work presents the synthesis of a molecular crystal of adiponitrile (Adpn) and LiI a simple melting method. The molecular crystal has both Li and I channels and can be either a Li or an I conductor. In the stoichiometric crystal (Adpn)LiI, the Li ions interact only with four CN groups of Adpn, while the I ions are uncoordinated.

Introduction: Adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC) is a rare malignancy with poor prognosis, limited treatment options, and high recurrence rates. Surgery and mitotane-based chemotherapy remain the standard of care, and new treatment strategies are needed. Iron oxide nanoparticles (IONPs) offer promise as theranostic agents due to their modifiability for selective uptake and imaging.

We present a proof-of-principle device for axial high-resolution operation that combines a deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) origami with a functionalized graphene layer, analyzed by nanoscopy. Along the DNA origami structure, we bind ATTO-488 fluorophores at specific distances from graphene, from where we expect specific fluorescence lifetime values due to nearfield energy transfer processes. These are characterized by Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging Microscopy (FLIM).

Aim: This study aimed to evaluate the implementation of the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS®) protocol in patients undergoing colorectal cancer resections at a tertiary care center in India, and to assess whether protocol compliance influences the length of hospital stay and postoperative complications.

Materials And Methods: We conducted a prospective observational study of 50 consecutive patients undergoing colorectal cancer resection surgery at Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS), Patna, between May 2024 and April 2025. A 16-item ERAS® protocol was implemented, and compliance was measured.

Background: The robotic NICE procedure (Natural Orifice IntraCorporeal Anastomosis with Transrectal Extraction) has emerged as an innovative approach for left-sided colorectal resections. In this procedure, specimen extraction and completion of anastomosis are performed without abdominal wall incision, improving patient outcomes and potentially reducing healthcare costs.

Objective: This study aims to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of the robotic NICE procedure compared to open, laparoscopic, and robotic surgical approaches for left-sided colorectal resections.
