Background: Lenvatinib, a multikinase inhibitor, is an FDA-approved treatment for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in the first-line setting. Recent trial data have established atezolizumab plus bevacizumab as well as tremelimumab plus durvalumab as preferred first-line treatment options for advanced HCC. The role of lenvatinib following progression on immunotherapy in patients with advanced HCC remains unclear.

Here, we used a multi-omics approach to perform a longitudinal analysis of immunity to severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) in infants and young children by analyzing blood samples and weekly nasal swabs collected before, during, and after infection with Omicron and non-Omicron variants. Infection stimulated robust antibody titers that, unlike in adults, showed no sign of decay for up to 300 days.

Therefore, we investigated associations of family connectedness and two types of eating behavior regulation motives and the moderating role of individualism in these associations among 134 sexual minority Asian American young adults. Linear regression models assessed the main and interaction effects of family connectedness and individualism on introjected and identified eating behavior regulation motives.

However, less work has focused on intersectional disparities by ethnoracial identity and sex in resident performance assessments.
Objective: To estimate intersectional sex-specific ethnoracial disparities in standardized EM resident assessments.
Background & Aims: Withdrawal of immunomodulators (IMMs) or tumor necrosis factor (TNF) antagonists in patients with inflammatory bowel diseases (IBDs) in remission on combination therapy is attractive. We evaluated the efficacy and safety of (1) IMM, or (2) TNF antagonist withdrawal in patients with IBD in sustained remission on combination therapy.
Methods: Through a systematic review till March 31, 2023, we identified randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that compared the efficacy and safety of IMM or TNF antagonist withdrawal vs continued combination therapy, in patients with IBD in sustained corticosteroid-free clinical remission for >6 months on combination therapy.

Aerosol formation and production yields from 11 carbonyls (carbonyl concentration per aerosol mass unit) were investigated (1) from a fourth-generation (4th gen) e-cigarette device at different coil resistances and coil age (0-5000 puffs) using unflavored e-liquid with 2% benzoic acid nicotine salt, (2) between a sub-ohm third-generation (3rd gen) tank mod at 0.12 Ω and a 4th gen pod at 1.2 Ω using e-liquid with nicotine salt, together with nicotine yield, and (3) from 3rd gen coils of different metals (stainless steel, kanthal, nichrome) using e-liquid with freebase nicotine.

This study aims to evaluate the performance of Stick-bed Biofix and Swim-bed Biofringe added to bioreactors as a biomass carrier in order to enhance biomass concentration. The results indicated that the organic removal has been insignificantly affected by high salinity, the removal efficiency was obtained at 95 ± 2% corresponding to a rate of 5.

Chronic neurodegenerative diseases are typically associated with oxidative stress conditions leading to neuronal cell death. We aimed to investigate the neuroprotective effect of three pyranocoumarins (decursin, decursinol angelate, and decursinol) targeting oxidative stress factors. Decursin (also known as dehydro-8-prenylnaringenin) is a prenylated coumarin compound consisting of a coumarin ring system with a prenyl group attached to one of the carbons in the ring.

Pretomanid (PA-824), a novel anti-tuberculosis (TB) nitroimidazoxazine, has been approved for multi-drug-resistant TB treatment for a few years. Pretomanid has been demonstrated to be highly active against Mycobacterium tuberculosis when combined with other anti-TB drugs. This review provides an update of the current knowledge on the modes of action, resistance mechanisms, emergence of drug resistance, and status of antimicrobial susceptibility testing for pretomanid and its relevance for clinical practice.

The selection of suitable logistic service providers is essential while making strategic decision for sustainable business. Green logistic service management is the one that incorporates sustainable practices in whole operation cycle in order to maintain product quality, timely deliveries and satisfied customers. This also helps in the prevention of products from further waste that is quite necessary in the context of emerging economies.

Background: Most patients with localized cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) endure cancer relapse after curative resection underscoring the importance of systemic therapy. The current study attempts to determine the impact of perioperative chemotherapy (PC) on survival in patients with CCA undergoing resection.
Methods: Patients diagnosed with CCA undergoing curative-intent resection between January 1, 2000, and December 31, 2019, in a tertiary care center were included.
Importance: Limited data describe the health status of sexual or gender minority (SGM) people due to inaccurate and inconsistent ascertainment of gender identity, sex assigned at birth, and sexual orientation.
Objective: To evaluate whether the prevalence of 12 health conditions is higher among SGM adults in the All of Us Research Program data compared with cisgender heterosexual (non-SGM) people.
Design, Setting, And Participants: This cross-sectional study used data from a multidisciplinary research consortium, the All of Us Research Program, that links participant-reported survey information to electronic health records (EHR) and physical measurements.
Increasing levels of artemisinin and partner drug resistance threaten malaria control and elimination globally. Triple artemisinin-based combination therapies (TACTs) which combine artemisinin derivatives with two partner drugs are efficacious and well tolerated in clinical trials, including in areas of multidrug-resistant malaria. Whether early TACT adoption could delay the emergence and spread of antimalarial drug resistance is a question of vital importance.
