Migraine management in Saudi Arabia: An expert consensus.

Objective: To establish expert consensus on the preventive treatment of migraine in Saudi Arabia, with a focus on the use of calcitonin gene-related peptide monoclonal antibodies (CGRP mAbs), in light of the latest international guidelines and local clinical practice.

Method: A record-based study was performed retrospectively in Radiology department at our Hospital in Eastern region of Saudi Arabia, from Jan. 2019-2024.

Tailoring dual antiplatelet therapy for stroke prevention: a meta-analysis of timing, duration, regimen, and stroke subtypes.

Background: Dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) is commonly used for secondary stroke prevention, but the optimal timing and duration of treatment remain uncertain. This meta-analysis investigated the efficacy and safety of DAPT compared to any single antiplatelet therapy in stroke patients. We examined the effectiveness of DAPT versus monotherapy, stratified by stroke type, timing of intervention onset, and duration of DAPT.

The Risk Factors for Acute Cerebrovascular Accident (Stroke) in Patients with Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2).

Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) patients may experience an acute ischemic stroke; however, risk factors, in-hospital deaths, and outcomes have not been thoroughly investigated. This study investigates the risk factors, comorbidities, and outcomes in patients with SARS-VoV-2 infection and acute ischemic stroke compared to patients without these conditions. The present retrospective study was conducted in the King Abdullah International Medical Research Centre (KAIMRC), Ministry of National Guard, Health Affairs, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, during the period from April 2020 to February 2022.
