Drought is a natural event, but its frequency and severity are increasingly influenced by human activity and climate change. In the current Anthropocene era, human-induced changes to the hydrological cycle combined with natural climate variability are reshaping how droughts develop and persist. Droughts often result from complex interactions between atmospheric conditions and land surface processes, which affect how water and energy move through the environment.

This study uses first-principle calculations to investigate the properties of pristine and passivated gallium sulfide nanoflakes. Passivation significantly enhances stability, with fluorinated nanoflakes being the most stable and pristine nanoflakes the least stable, having formation energies of -0.058 eV/atom and -0.

So many estimators have been suggested for elevated estimation of the population mean in stratified random sampling, but there is still a gap for more closely estimating the population mean. In this paper, the authors propose a ratio-product-cum-exponential-cum-logarithmic type estimator for the enhanced estimation of population mean by implying one auxiliary variable in stratified random sampling using conventional ratio, exponential ratio, and logarithmic ratio type estimators.
