Objectives: Sepsis, a severe consequence of infection leading to organ failure, incites damage in frequently affected brain tissue through inflammation and oxidative stress. This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of amantadine, an N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor antagonist, in mitigating sepsis-induced brain damage.
Materials And Methods: Thirty-two Wistar albino male rats were allocated into four groups: control, LPS (lipopolysaccharide 5 mg/kg, intraperitoneal, single-dose), LPS + amantadine, and amantadine alone.
To assess the antifibrotic efficacy of losartan, rapamycin, doxycycline, and botulinum toxin A (BTX-A) in an experimentally induced urethral trauma rat model. Sixty male rats were assigned to six groups; sham (n = 10), stricture (n = 10), losartan (n = 10), rapamycin (n = 10), doxycycline (n = 10), and BTX-A (n = 10). The sham group was exposed to only a penoscrotal incision.

Forty male Wistar rats were randomly divided into four groups, each consisting of 10 rats: Sham, IR, IR + RF-EMF, and RF-EMF. IR was applied to rats by 60 min of clamping hilus of left lungs and 60 min of reperfusion.

Purpose: One of the important causes of morbidity and mortality in the world is traumatic brain injury (TBI), which is a process that triggers damaging mechanisms such as inflammation, oxidative stress, and apoptosis. The results of current pharmaceutical methods are not enough, and researches into new therapy modalities are needed. This study aimed to evaluate the neuroprotective effects of Urapidil (Ura), which is an alpha-1 adrenergic receptor antagonist with serotonergic activity, in a TBI model and investigating signaling pathways like high mobility group box 1 (HMGB1), BCL2-interacting protein 3-like (BNIP3L), and hypoxia-inducible factor-1 alpha (HIF1α).

Rhabdomyolysis (RM) can lead to life-threatening myoglobinuric acute kidney injury (AKI). Despite various treatment modalities for AKI, their effectiveness remains limited. Dexpanthenol (DEX) is an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-apoptotic agent with demonstrated protective effects on various tissues.

Radiofrequency electromagnetic field (RF-EMF) can increase the vascularization of tissues by providing endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS)-mediated nitric oxide (NO) release from the endothelium. The aim of this study is to investigate the protective effect and mechanism of RF-EMF in ischemic intestinal injury in the experimental MIR model.

Pressure injuries are still an important health problem worldwide, although many therapies have been applied to date. This study aimed to determine the optimal duration of external application of a 10 kV/m direct current (DC, static) electric field in a pressure injury model in rats. Twelve male Wistar-Albino rats were divided into three groups: Grade-1, Grade-2, and Grade-3.

Homeopathic formulations such as Tarantula cubensis venom show potential in regulating inflammation. This study's objective was to assess theranecron's (THE) impact on inflammation and oxidative stress in a model of liver injury caused by lipopolysaccharide (LPS).

This study explores FLV's potential to protect against lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced neuroinflammation, a key factor in systemic inflammation-related neuronal damage. Four equal groups of thirty-two female Wistar Albino rats were created: FLV, LPS-FLV (50 mg/kg intraperitoneal), LPS (5 mg/kg intraperitoneal), and control.

The objective of this study was to examine the impact of tasimelteon (Tasi) administration on brain injury through the nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (NRF-2)/heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) and receptor-interacting protein kinase 1 (RIPK1)/receptor-interacting protein kinase 3 (RIPK3)/mixed lineage kinase domain-like (MLKL) pathways in rats with TBI. Thirty-two male Wistar albino rats weighing 300-350 g were randomly divided into four groups: the control group, trauma group, Tasi-1 group (trauma + 1 mg/kg Tasi intraperitoneally), and Tasi-10 group (trauma + 10 mg/kg Tasi intraperitoneally).

In this study, we aimed to investigate the effect of DPG on cardiotoxicity caused by systemic inflammation via endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress and autophagy.
Methods And Results: Four groups of thirty-two Wistar Albino rats were created: Control (1 ml oral physiological saline for five days and intraperitoneal saline on the 5th day), LPS (1 ml oral physiological saline for five days and intraperitoneal 5 mg/kg of LPS on the 5th day), LPS + DPG (10 mg/kg of DPG orally for five days and 5 mg/kg of LPS intraperitoneally on the 5th day), and DPG (10 mg/kg of DPG orally for five days and 5 mg/kg of SF intraperitoneally on the 5th day).

Objective: In this study, we aimed to determine the phenolic compounds, the antibacterial activity of extract from Laurus nobilis leaves, and its possible effect on transforming growth factor-β1 expression level in peripheral blood mononuclear cells.
Methods: The phenolic components of Laurus nobilis were identified by the high-performance liquid chromatography method. The antibacterial activity of this extract was determined by disk diffusion and broth microdilution methods.
Purpose: To create a reproducible and standardized urethral stricture model in rats, evaluating both histomorphologic findings and gene expression data. In studies involving experimental animals, more standardization is needed for the creation of a urethral stricture model.
Methods: Sixteen male rats were randomized into two groups.

Doxorubicin (DOX), which is used to treat various cancers and hematological malignancies, has limited therapeutic application due to its toxicity in tissues and organs. These toxic effects occur through alterations in intracellular calcium regulation, elevated cell stress and oxidative damage, and increased apoptosis. Lercanidipine (LRD) is a long-acting antihypertensive calcium channel blocker with anti-inflammatory, anti-apoptotic, and antioxidant effects.
