: This study evaluates the diagnostic and referral skills of final-year dental students at Al-Iraqia University using a questionnaire based on malocclusion cases ranging from mild to severe. : The questionnaire, featuring photos and radiographs of five selected treated cases from two textbooks, was answered by 165 students who were asked to assess each case and determine whether orthodontic or surgical treatment was necessary, as well as to identify factors contributing to an unesthetic profile, such as irregular teeth. Frequency distribution and the Chi-square test were used for statistical analysis.

Objectives: This case-control study aimed to evaluate the levels of nickel (Ni) and chromium (Cr) ions in the urine of patients undergoing fixed orthodontic treatment, specifically comparing patients treated with nickel-titanium (NiTi) and stainless steel (SS) archwires to a control group without appliance.

Methods: Fifty-one participants were recruited and divided into two case groups and one control group, with 17 participants in each group. Group 1 consisted of patients treated with NiTi archwires for six to eight months, and Group 2 included patients treated with SS archwires for 12 to 18 months.

In this study, we investigated dental arch forms in a representative sample of children with mixed dentition. Twenty-four pairs of study models, belonging to twenty-four youngsters (twelve boys and twelve girls aged 8 to 9 years) with acceptable occlusion, were scanned and assessed by Ortho analyzer software. This study aimed to clarify the effect of large hair clips on patient head posture on the dental chair headrest and its harmful impact on orthodontist body posture and neck-back pain. One hundred orthodontists voluntarily participated in a web-based questionnaire designed and distributed online by using the Google form posted in the Telegram group of Iraqi orthodontists to assess the opinions of orthodontists regarding the effect of a large hair clip on the patient's position on the dental chair and site of pain perception during different stages of orthodontic treatment.
