The study reports on the development of innovative hierarchical hybrid nanofibers for the efficient removal of cationic heavy metals and dyes from wastewater. The successful electrospinning of poly-(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) and chitosan (CS) in combination with biosynthesized copper oxide nanoparticle-doped graphene oxide nanocomposites (CuO-GO NCs) at various ratios produced functional nanofibers. The CuO-GO NC was synthesized with a facile one-step method.

Wound healing is a dynamic physiological process essential for regenerating skin and maintaining coherence in hypodermic tissues. Chitosan-based electrospun nanofibre wound dressings show great promise for expediting the integration of skin and tissues due to their nano-topographic, biodegradable, biocompatible, and antimicrobial properties. However, their moderate bactericidal efficacy and limited mechanical strength hinder their widespread clinical application.

Purely cotton fabric lacks different functional and physical properties than cotton-flax blends fabric. The experimental part of the present study is to investigate the influence of flax fibres content in cotton-flax blended yarn quality. Five ring yarn samples of the same count, 16/1Ne but from different blend ratios (100C, 80C:20F, 70C:30F, 45C:55F, and 100F) were produced from the same spinning preparatory conditions.
