In both beef and dairy farming, the water quality (WQ) is of utmost importance, as it can significantly influence various cattle performance indicators (PIs). This study, conducted in Egyptian cattle farms experiencing emerging epidemics, aimed to scrutinize the impact of WQ on PIs. A comprehensive survey, involving 132 farms, was carried out using a questionnaire to identify hygiene-related risk factors (HRFs) that affect PIs.

From source to house: unraveling the seasonal effect of water distribution system on drinking water quality of poultry farms under Egyptian environmental condition.

Improvements in drinking water quality (DWQ) can lead, according to some estimates, to a 10% reduction of the world's disease load. The drinking water distribution system (DWDS) plays a crucial role in influencing DWQ and can contribute to the emergence of poultry-related epidemics. This study aims to monitor the variations in DWQ throughout the seasons within the DWDS of Egyptian poultry farms experiencing epidemics.

Effect of water quality on causes of calf mortality in cattle-farm-associated epidemics.

Poor-quality drinking water plays a detrimental role in the suppression of calf immunity, giving rise to an increased rate of calf mortality. The present study aims to evaluate the causes of calf mortality in beef and dairy farms in relation to drinking water quality (DWQ). A convenience sample of 132 Egyptian cattle farms suffering from emerging epidemics was surveyed by collecting drinking water samples for physicochemical and microbial analysis and using a questionnaire to record hygienic risk factors affecting calf health.

Comparison of TNF-α and IL-19 concentrations at different stages of breast cancer.

This study investigated the alteration of tumour necrosis factor (TNF-α) and interleukin-19 (IL-19) at different clinical disease stages, lymph node metastasis, and ductal carcinoma in women with breast cancer. Serum samples were collected from 90 individuals with an age range of 25-61 years. These individuals were divided into a control group (healthy people), consisting of 31 individuals, and a breast cancer patients (BCP) group, consisting of 59 individuals.
