In October-November 2020, the phytoplankton and the aquatic environment from 62 sites in the mainstream of the Qinhe River and the largest tributary of the Qinhe River (Danhe River) in the Jincheng region were investigated to clarify the spatial pattern of phytoplankton communities and their driving factors. A total of 7 phyla and 47 species of phytoplankton were identified in the Qinhe River basin and were composed of Cryptophyta, Chlorophyta, Pyrrophyta, Chrysophyta, Bacillariophyta, Cyanophyta, and Crytophyta. Six dominant species in the Qinhe River included:, and .

Article Synopsis
  • Alzheimer's disease (AD) is influenced by genetic factors, particularly polymorphisms in the Gsto1 gene, which has been linked to an increased risk of AD across various ethnic groups.
  • Analysis of gene expression in BXD mice revealed that Gsto1 expression is regulated by certain genetic traits and is associated with key traits in the central nervous system, including brain structure and function.
  • The study identified over 2100 genes correlated with Gsto1, some of which are previously known to be linked to AD, and it highlighted that Gsto1 impacts expression of Pa2g4, indicating a possible genetic interaction network involved in AD development.
