Introduction: The cognitive and neuroimaging evolution during dementia with Lewy bodies (DLB) from the prodromal phase (Pro-DLB; subjective cognitive impairment [SCI] to mild cognitive impairment [MCI]) according to amyloid beta (Aβ) status is poorly understood.
Methods: The decline of Lewy-Memento patients with SCI or MCI was compared according to Aβ status across four groups: Pro-DLB, prodromal Alzheimer's disease (Pro-AD), Pro-DLB+AD, and a group without prodromal DLB and AD (no symptoms [NS]). We observed the evolution of cognitive, functional, quality of life measures, brain volumetry, and metabolism on fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography.

The growing prevalence of the Alzheimer's disease (AD) is an increasing public health concern that led to French recommendations for timely AD diagnosis and patient management as well as a territorial coverage of specialized structures [Memory Centers including Resources and Memory Research Centers (RMRC) and Memory Consultations (MC)]. In view of the potential availability of Disease Modifying Therapies (DMTs), this French observatory aimed to describe the current organization of the Memory Centers, and the care pathway of patients suffering from early AD. Overall, 12 of the 28 RMRC and 44 of the 250 MC solicited by the Federation of Memory Centers participated in this study.

Selectivity is the rule, rather than the exception, in neurodegenerative disease. A retired telephone operator carrying a C9orf72 expansion developed phonagnosia, a selective impairment of voice recognition, contrasting with intact person knowledge and recognition of faces, as a presenting sign of genetically confirmed fronto-temporal dementia. Since the dysfunction in this patient fell into his area of professional expertise, we discuss if overload in voice related neural networks might have caused failure propagating to connected nodes.

Objectives: Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) is associated with an increased risk of further cognitive decline, partly depending on demographics and biomarker status. The aim of the present study was to survey the clinical practices of physicians in terms of biomarker counseling, management, and follow-up in European expert centers diagnosing patients with MCI.
Methods: An online email survey was distributed to physicians affiliated with European Alzheimer's disease Consortium centers (Northern Europe: 10 centers; Eastern and Central Europe: 9 centers; and Southern Europe: 15 centers) with questions on attitudes toward biomarkers and biomarker counseling in MCI and dementia.

Objective: To assess progression of semantic loss in early stages of cognitive decline using semantic and letter fluency performance, and its relation with Alzheimer's disease (AD)-specific neurodegeneration using longitudinal multimodal neuroimaging measures.
Methods: Change in verbal fluency was analyzed among 2261 non-demented individuals with a follow-up diagnosis of no mild cognitive impairment (MCI), amnestic MCI (aMCI), non-amnestic MCI (naMCI), or incident dementia, using linear mixed models across 4 years of follow-up, and relations with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI; n = 1536) and F-fluorodeoxyglucose brain positron emission tomography (F-FDG-PET) imaging (n = 756) using linear regression models across 2 years of follow-up.

Methods: This study recruited patients with amnestic mild cognitive impairment (aMCI, prodromal AD), patients with mild AD, and age-matched controls from three French memory clinics. Introduction: The free and cued selective reminding test is used to identify memory deficits in mild cognitive impairment and demented patients. It allows assessing three processes: encoding, storage, and recollection of verbal episodic memory.
Methods: We investigated the neural correlates of these three memory processes in a large cohort study.
Background: Studies have shown the frequent coexistence of Lewy pathology (LP) in Alzheimer's Disease (AD).
Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the influence of LP on the clinical and cognitive phenotype in a cohort of patients with a neuropathological diagnosis of AD.
