Breast reconstruction following mastectomy is a vital component of comprehensive cancer care, with a variety of techniques available to restore symmetry and form. This case report describes a 54-year-old woman who underwent a unique "breast-splitting" technique for right breast reconstruction after a mastectomy for a metaplastic carcinoma. The reconstruction was performed using a pedicled flap derived from the hypertrophic contralateral left breast, supplied not only by parasternal perforators, but also by several intercostal perforators from the breast septum, and was prepared with internal mammary vessels.

Identifying and functionally characterising shared SNPs spanning this locus can provide new insights into common genetic mechanisms of autoimmunity.

The activation of RAGE triggers complex signaling pathways that drive inflammatory, oxidative, and proliferative responses, which are increasingly implicated in the pathogenesis of skin diseases. Despite its well-established roles in conditions such as diabetes, cancer, and chronic inflammation, the contribution of RAGE to skin pathologies remains underexplored.

Nevertheless, the discrepancy between the demand and supply of grafts in transplant medicine greatly limits the success of this treatment. The increasing global shortage of organs necessitates the utilization of extended criteria donors (ECD) for liver transplantation, thereby increasing the risk of primary graft dysfunction (PGD).

Materials And Methods: This observational cohort study analysed the data of 31 women suffering from complications after breast enlargement with Aquafilling injection who were treated at our department in 2016-2021.
The gene encodes an ATP-binding cassette transporter that is expressed specifically in the disc of photoreceptor outer segments. Mutations in the gene are the main cause of retinal degenerations known as "-retinopathies." Recent research has revealed that is expressed in other cells as well, such as hair follicles and keratinocytes, although no information on its significance has been evidenced so far.
