Synthetic Cannabinoid Receptor Agonists (SCRAs) are a class of Novel Psychoactive Substances (NPS) that interact with the same receptors (CB1 and CB2) as delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). The identification of SCRAs, such as AB-CHMINACA and MDMB-4en-PINACA, is of significant forensic and toxicological interest due to their widespread consumption in several countries and their potential involvement in overdose cases resulting from their high potency, posing a serious public health and safety concern. Currently, no standardized screening methods exist for the detection of SCRAs in forensic and toxicological contexts.

The highly efficient degradation of persistent organic substances by electrochemical advanced oxidation processes (EAOPs), which don't result in the formation of potentially harmful by-products, is crucial for the future of water management. In this study, boron-doped diamond electrodes (BDDE) with three morphologies (planar 2D, microstructured 2D, and macroporous 3D) were employed for the anodic oxidation of diclofenac (DCF) in two working electrolytes (NaCl and NaSO). In total, 11 by-products formed during the electrochemical oxidation of DCF were identified via HPLC-HRMS.

Boron-doped diamond (BDD) films are an ideal choice for EC-SC due to their durability and exceptional electrochemical performance. In this study, nanostructured boron-doped ultra-nanocrystalline diamonds (NBUNCD) are fabricated on Si micro-pyramids (Si) using a simple reactive ion etching (RIE) process.

This paper provides a detailed examination of the irreversible oxidation behavior of melatonin by cyclic voltammetry at a boron-doped diamond electrode. The relationship between the current response and the square root of the scan rate confirmed a diffusion-controlled oxidation process.

This work used different voltammetric methods to use a screen-printed sensor with a working boron-doped diamond electrode (SP/BDDE). Beneficial analytical performance for detecting galantamine was achieved in a Britton-Robinson buffer with pH 3.
