Montelukast reduced docetaxel-induced peripheral neuropathy in rats by altering oxidative stress, histopathological damage, and gene expressions.

Peripheral neuropathy (PN) is a common side effect of docetaxel (DTX). In this study, we aimed to evaluate the effects of montelukast (MNT), a leukotriene receptor antagonist drug, against DTX-induced PN in rats. Thirty-two male rats were divided into four groups and treated for four weeks: control (sham), DTX (5 mg/kg per week, ip), MNT (10 mg/kg per day, po), and DTX+MNT (5 mg/kg per week, ip + 10 mg/kg per day, po).

Dynamic 4 dimensional contrast enhanced MRI for localization in primary hyperparathyroidism.

Purpose: It can be challenging to localize the lesions in certain cases of primary hyperparathyroidism. Recently, it has been proposed that assessing the localization of parathyroid lesions with dynamic images enhances the diagnostic power of standard MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) due to the hypervascular structure of these lesions. In this study, we aimed to evaluate the success of four-dimensional dynamic perfusion MRI (4D MRI) in localizing parathyroid lesions.

Assessment of diabetes-specific eating disorder risk in adult patients with diabetes.

Purpose: Adults with type 1 diabetes (T1D) are reported to be at higher risk for clinical eating disorders (ED) and other disordered eating behaviors (DEB) than their peers without diabetes. On the other hand, there is insufficient data on DEB in adults with type 2 diabetes (T2D). Our study aimed to investigate the prevalence of DEB in patients with T1D and T2D on intensive insulin therapy followed in our outpatient clinic.

A Neglected Point: Frailty in Older Adults with Differentiated Thyroid Cancer.

Backgruound: This study investigated the risk of frailty in older adults with differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC) and the effect of thyroid- stimulating hormone (TSH) levels on frailty.

Methods: This single-center, cross-sectional study included 70 DTC patients aged ≥60 years with stable TSH levels during the previous year while receiving levothyroxine. Frailty was assessed using the fried frailty phenotype (FFP).

Objective: To investigate the clinical, laboratory findings and signal intensity index (SII) on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of patients with bilateral and unilateral macronodular mild autonomous cortisol secretion (MACS).

Patients And Measurements: Clinical and laboratory findings of 81 patients with MACS were examined from retrospective records. SII of adenomas and internodular areas were evaluated by MRI.
