Objectives: Patients diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) typically describe symptoms of fatigue. Despite this frequency, the underlying mechanisms of fatigue are poorly understood, and are likely multifactorial. Visual impairment is reported in about a third of stroke patients. It significantly reduces patients' quality of life and leads to maladjustment in everyday life and disability. There are three main areas of medical rehabilitation for patients with visual impairments after a stroke: restoration of visual fields (restorative therapy), modification of behavior to compensate for lost visual function (training of compensatory capabilities), and replacement of a visual defect using devices or external modifications (replacement therapy).

Oculomotor disorders are not typical manifestations of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Occasionally, this disease is associated with vertical gaze paresis, presenting a distinct type as «ALS+progressive supranuclear palsy». Studies using eye-tracking methods have revealed a variety of subclinical oculomotor disorders in this disease.

Objective: To analyze the influence of the impairment of social cognitive functions (SCF) in acute phase of ischemic stroke (IS) on its functional outcomes in 6 months.
