Two-dimensional (2D) S-scheme heterojunctions have garnered significant interest, owing to their remarkable redox capability and excellent potential in solar energy harvesting. In the work, a 2D/2D S-scheme heterojunction consisting of monolayer BiOSe and BiWO was designed, and its performance in photocatalytic water splitting was comprehensively investigated using first-principles calculations. The results reveal that the BiOSe/BiWO heterojunction features well-aligned electronic band structures and generates an intrinsic built-in electric field directed from BiOSe toward BiWO.

Article Synopsis
  • Invasive hydatidiform mole is a dangerous growth that can happen in women of reproductive age, and it can lead to serious health problems.
  • A 24-year-old Chinese woman with no previous pregnancies had ongoing bleeding after a medical procedure, and doctors found abnormal growths in her uterus.
  • She was treated with chemotherapy and a special ultrasound technique, which helped improve her condition and showed positive results in follow-up exams.

Article Synopsis
  • High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) is a treatment for uterine fibroids and adenomyosis but lacks evidence comparing its fertility outcomes to traditional laparoscopic procedures.
  • This study analyzed literature from 2010 to 2022, selecting 14 relevant articles to assess the fertility rates and outcomes of women post-HIFU and laparoscopic myomectomy.
  • Results indicate that HIFU patients had better rates of pregnancy and delivery but potentially faced more complications, highlighting the need for further research on endometrial differences and fibroid locations.

This paper studies a novel model averaging estimation issue for linear regression models when the responses are right censored and the covariates are measured with error. A novel weighted Mallows-type criterion is proposed for the considered issue by introducing multiple candidate models. The weight vector for model averaging is selected by minimizing the proposed criterion.

Article Synopsis
  • - The study aimed to evaluate how the information-motivation-behavioral skills (IMB) model affected the psychological and emotional states of women undergoing caesarean sections (CS).
  • - In the research, 102 pregnant women were split into two groups: one received standard nursing care (Control) while the other received standard care plus IMB interventions (Observation) before and after surgery.
  • - Results showed that the Observation group experienced significantly lower anxiety and depression levels, higher self-efficacy, and fewer complications compared to the Control group, indicating the effectiveness of the IMB model.
