Crossmodal correspondences - systematic mappings between stimulus attributes in different modalities - are ubiquitous in the general population. For example, high-pitched (vs low-pitched) sounds are commonly associated with elevated (vs low) positions in space, and rounded (vs angular) shapes tend to be linked to the term 'Bouba' (vs 'Kiki'). There is still some debate about the role of immediate sensory experience versus conceptual colour understanding in crossmodal correspondences.

In this study, we estimate trends and the likelihood of PKT in lupus patients compared to non-lupus patients approaching ESKD. Additionally, we compare kidney allograft failure (KAF) and all-cause mortality in lupus and non-lupus recipients of PKT.

This approach utilizes statistical analysis to optimize the reaction conditions, allowing a pseudo-multicomponent protocol to be proposed. The developed method demonstrates sustainability, efficiency, and potential applications in green chemistry, achieving yields ranging from 55% to 81%.

The controlled transformation of cacao seeds by adjusting the pH by using organic acid solutions is valuable for obtaining high-quality products with enhanced characteristics. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of organic acids on the microstructure of cacao seeds under specific operating conditions that emphasize cacao quality-related characteristics. Confocal laser scanning microscopy and scanning electron microscopy were employed to describe the seed microstructure and characterize the presence of autofluorescent cellular components through image analysis, as well as to obtain the fractal dimension and texture parameters of the seeds.
