Background: Eye diseases such as cataracts and glaucoma significantly contribute to vision impairment and blindness worldwide. While cataracts are the leading cause of preventable blindness, glaucoma, often referred to as the "silent thief of sight", can lead to irreversible vision loss if untreated.
