While studies have examined associations between air pollution and subjective long COVID outcomes such as fatigue and symptoms, no studies have focused on objective lung health measures. This study aimed to assess the impact of air pollution, examined through different exposure methods (exposures assigned via geospatial model, versus residential and personal measurements) on pulmonary function and radiological abnormalities in long COVID patients. We recruited 95 patients who attended a hospital outpatient clinic 3-6 months post-infection, during which pulmonary function was assessed via spirometry (FEV1,FVC,FEV1/FVC ratio) and diffusion capacity for carbon monoxide (DLCO), along with a chest CT.

However, it remains unclear whether this impairment is temporary or persists long term. In this study we compare kidney function ( estimated glomerular filtration rate [eGFR]) during infection, 3-6 months and 12-18 months after infection; the relationship between patient characteristics and eGFR in post COVID-19 patients; and the difference in eGFR between post COVID-19 patients and controls.

Background: Little is known about the role of the nasal epithelium in long COVID (LC).
Objective: We sought to assess nasal epithelial transcriptomes of patients with LC to unravel pathophysiological mechanisms for disease management.
Methods: Medical data and transcriptomes were obtained from participants in the Precision Medicine for More Oxygen COVID-19 cohort at 3 to 6 months (n = 40) and at 12 to 18 months (n = 15) post-COVID.

Precision, or personalised medicine has advanced requirements for medical data management systems (MedDMSs). MedDMS for precision medicine should be able to process hundreds of parameters from multiple sites, be adaptable while remaining in sync at multiple locations, real-time syncing to analytics and be compliant with international privacy legislation. This paper describes the LogiqSuite software solution, aimed to support a precision medicine solution at the patient care (LogiqCare), research (LogiqScience) and data science (LogiqAnalytics) level.

Methods: Blood inflammatory parameters (eosinophil and neutrophil counts and inflammatory mediators using multiplex immunoassay technology) were measured in children (6-17 years) with moderate-to-severe asthma from the SysPharmPediA cohort across four European countries.
