Introduction: Sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs) are a significant source of added sugars in the Indian diet, contributing to adverse health outcomes such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, and dental caries. Multi-component interventions (MCIs) have shown promise in reducing the consumption of harmful products like tobacco. This study assessed the effectiveness of a multi-component intervention-comprising Pictorial Health Warnings (PHWs), educational pamphlets, and targeted counseling-in reducing parental purchases of SSBs for children.

Aberrant umbilical coiling patterns, including hypo- and hypercoiling, have been associated with adverse perinatal sequelae. This study aimed to elucidate the relationship between antenatal UCI (aUCI) and perinatal outcomes in an Indian cohort.

Introduction: Food insecurity has been linked to adverse mental health outcomes, particularly depression. However, there is a paucity of community-based studies investigating this association, especially in southern India. This study aimed to estimate the prevalence of food insecurity and examine its association with depressive symptoms among adults in a rural village in Telangana, India.

Methods: A total of 546 participants were randomized into SA3X or placebo groups, with or without structured exercise. Muscle size (mid-arm, chest, thigh circumference) and strength (bench-press, squatting) were measured pre- and post-intervention.
Objective: To explore the school teachers' perspectives on factors affecting the implementation of National Iron Plus Initiative (NIPI).
Methods: A qualitative participatory study was conducted in six schools in rural areas of Telangana, involving free listing, pile sorting, and force field analysis. Analysis included frequency calculations, multidimensional scaling, hierarchical cluster analysis, and thematic analysis.

Visfatin, an, is associated with reproductive and metabolic disorders like polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). Although visfatin levels are known to be elevated in PCOS, the effect of metformin treatment on these levels remains unclear. This meta-analysis aimed to assess changes in circulating visfatin levels before and after metformin intervention in PCOS patients.

This study investigated the impact of 500 mg of spilanthol (SA3X) supplementation on lipid profiles in men with dyslipidemia using a randomized, parallel-group, placebo-controlled design.
Methods: A total of 279 male participants were randomly allocated to one of four groups: SA3X without exercise, placebo without exercise, SA3X with exercise, and placebo with exercise.
Introduction: Many plans and policy changes about health outcomes have evolved, but none of them have ever given a definite shape to the postgraduate (PG) curriculum so as to make it more intensive and integrative, which needs to be so structured and tailored that it is more patient, community centric, and less knowledge based.
Objectives: The objective of this study was to identify the gap in existing curriculum in learning of health policy and program among PGs of community medicine and recommend a structured model for the same.
Materials And Methods: A qualitative study (grounded theory approach) with all PGs of community medicine in one teaching institute in South India (8 PG students) was taken up.
To determine whether SA3X () supplementation improves serum testosterone levels, in comparison with placebo, in participants with erectile dysfunction (ED) and low testosterone levels. This double-blind placebo-controlled parallel-group was conducted in Hyderabad, India, among male participants who were randomized to SA3X therapy or placebo (1:1) for three months. The change of serum testosterone levels from baseline to months 1, 2, 3 and 6 (three months after completion of the intervention) were assessed using a mixed model repeated measures analysis.

SA3X () has proven to be effective in alleviating symptoms of ED, which could be due to an alteration in serum testosterone levels. This study was carried out to evaluate the change in testosterone levels in participants with ED supplemented with SA3X for three months.
