  • - Biopharmaceuticals, especially biologics, are rapidly becoming a key part of cancer treatment, both for addressing the cancer itself and for alleviating side effects, but they come with high costs that raise concerns about access and budget management in healthcare.
  • - Biosimilars present a potential solution by offering more affordable treatment options that could enhance patient access and outcomes, as well as align with value-based care initiatives aimed at improving care quality while controlling expenses.
  • - The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is shifting towards value-based care models in oncology, incentivizing healthcare providers for better quality care while integrating biosimilars to help achieve cost savings and improve treatment accessibility during cancer care episodes.

Objective: We sought to determine the incidence and imaging features by coronary angiography and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of anomalies in which the right, circumflex, and left anterior descending coronary arteries arise separately from the right sinus of Valsalva.

Background: The anomalous origin of all major coronary arteries from separate ostia in the right sinus of Valsalva has been reported as exceedingly rare, with mainly isolated cases reported. A knowledge of the origin and proximal courses of aberrant arteries is critical for patient management.

The authors recently observed an age-dependent reduction in the diuretic and natriuretic responses to plasma volume expansion in uninephrectomized control and glucose-intolerant rats. To determine the involvement of angiotensin II AT receptors in this phenomenon, the authors tested the hypothesis that chronic candesartan treatment preserves renal excretory function in the uninephrectomized rat. Control and glucose-intolerant rats underwent right nephrectomy at 4 weeks of age.
